This Privacy Policy explains how Honest Chronicle Studio ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you play Virago Story Interactive at viragostory.org.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding overall site traffic.
Gameplay data. Virago Story Interactive can be played without creating an account. We don't collect personally identifying information tied to your specific playthrough. Two things are stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers: your mute/sound preference, and whether you've clicked the like button. These stay on your device.
Like counter. If you click the like button, we record that a like occurred so we can display an accurate running total. This is not tied to your identity.
We use the following third-party services to run this game: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (game data storage), and Backblaze B2 (video file storage and delivery). Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the data that passes through their systems.
Monetag — third-party advertising (opened via direct link on button click, not embedded on this site)
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your mute preference and like status between visits. This information stays on your device and isn't transmitted to us as identifying data.
Some buttons in the game (such as Try Again and Replay Level) open a link to a third-party advertising service, Monetag, in a new browser tab. This happens only when you click one of these buttons, nothing is loaded or run automatically on this site itself.
Virago Story Interactive explores mature psychological themes, including stalking and its emotional aftermath. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We retain gameplay-related data (such as aggregate like counts) indefinitely, since it isn't tied to individual identities.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
